A Private Drive to a Historic Plantation

Enjoy the comfort of leaving the city a private vehicle to historic plantation on the New Orleans Plantation Tour. First, we will travel away from the city and explore one antebellum plantation home of your choice. We will enter one property to learn about the main home, how a sugar farm operated before modern machinery, the struggle of slaves on a plantation, and the lifestyles of rural South Louisiana. Then, we will drive along River Road to view the other large plantation homes in the area.

If you have no preference, we will visit Oak Alley Plantation. If you have a different preference, I will happily accommodate!

If you have a larger size group, I am happy to set up a custom tour. Please let me know!

Itinerary

First, we will travel away from the city and explore one antebellum plantation home. You will learn about the main home, how a sugar farm operated before modern machinery, the struggle of slaves on a plantation, and the lifestyles of rural South Louisiana. Then, we will drive along River Road to view the other large plantation homes in the area.

Currently, the most popular plantations to visit are the extremely picturesque Oak Alley or the slavery museum at Whitney Plantation. Plantations have in-house guides who lead through the home. Therefore, I will accompany you along the way as a personal docent guide to give you information on the grounds outside the tour and answer any questions you may have.

If you have no preference, we will visit Oak Alley Plantation. If you have a different preference, I will happily accommodate!

If you have a larger size group, I am happy to set up a custom tour. Please let me know!
