a full day through the history of Rome
This is a perfect introduction to the history of Rome. We'll start our tour in the morning from the ancient Rome area visiting the colosseum, palatine hill, forums and capitol hill. We'll walk on 2000 years old streets and you'll understand the roman way of life at that time. After a short break for lunch we'll proceed our walking tour going to the renassaince and baroque section of Rome. We'll visit the fantastic pantheon wich is famous for its fantastic dome made of concrete almost 2000 years ago, the spanish steps wich is considered the romantic area of Rome and we'll finish with the most important fountain of Rome:the Trevi fountain where you'll throw the coin and make a wish and, according to tradition, you'll be back in Rome once again!
It's an experience that you'll never forget especially because you're going to do it with Ennio, a real roman guide born and raised in Rome!
***this tour can't happen on the first sunday of the month because Colosseum is for free and there's no way to make reservation to skip the line***

I wish I could give this a higher star rating! Perhaps I should offer a caveat here. Rome IS my favourite city in Europe and ancient Roman history is my thing! However, having an expert guide in Ennio share his historical expertise blew my mind. And despite it being freezing cold and raining (curse those cheap-o umbrella's that don't work from the get-go, although they work well with a 6 yo to live out her ambition to be Mary Poppins when bored), this was our favourite day in Rome. A must! Thanks, Ennio x
