Explore the early development of Melbourne from the original selection of the site by John Batman in 1835 through the booming development of the gold rush and the ambitious Burke and Wills Expedition of 1860 and concluding with the bust of the 1890's.
View the original site of settlement, with its historic warehouses and Customs House.
Tour lanes and arcades which are now filled with vibrant cafes and shops, and grand old buildings from the boom years of the 1880s which have been beautifully restored.
Walk the "Paris end" of Collins Street with its stately trees and beautifully preserved 19th century street-scape and view Parliament House and Treasury Building, built when a brash young colony was rolling in the wealth of the Gold Rush.
Start and finish at your hotel, Cruise Ship terminal or other central location.
