Private Walking Tour through Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Carmo and Bica
Lisbon has a million different atmospheres and the Upper Districts of Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto, Carmo and Chiado can take you back in time: from 1300s convents to the XX century big episodes that changed Portugal's history, passing by the 1800s, when aristocracy chose this area of Lisbon as the place to be. We'll walk on Chiado's streets filled with shops, theatres and cafes, where the most famous poets, musicians, painters and artists used to get together. I'll take you on an unforgetable tour through Bairro Alto's belvederes, discovering small little charming places such as Bica and it's funicular that will takes us down hill to Ribeira Market, by Tagus river.
It's "an old brand new" Lisbon waiting for you!

We hired Marta for two days of walking tours in Lisbon. She is extremely knowledgable and personable. She guided us through the hills of Lisbon- experiencing the old and new parts of the city. The conversations about culture, economy, family life, etc. gave us a good sense of what it's like to live/work/play in Lisbon. She made great recommendations for things to explore on our own. She was able maneuver the popular crowded sites to maximize our experience. We enjoyed every minute of our time with her.
