Follow me in the Marais district , you will discover a place where Jews used to live since the Middle Ages. You will see little Synagogue from the outside, the Pletzl, Rue des Rosiers one of the most vibrant streets in what was the Jewish quarter of Paris. Even today, the Star of David continues to shine from Jewish bookshops, restaurants, charcuteries and boulangeries, stunning 17th-century "hotels particuliers". You will taste Yiddish gastronomy. . . This private tour will make an introduction to the history of the French Jews.
For 30 years now, the city council and the government have improved the district and progressively restored most of the beautiful private mansions and aristocratic palaces that had been left abandoned for years.
During our private tour we will go to see Victor Hugo's house, Hôtel Sully, Place des Vosges, St Paul, Rue des Rosiers.
You might also wish to taste a delightful strudel or falafel.
