History, architecture and deeply rooted traditions
This delightful small city is located on three very steep hills, it's still protected by its medieval walls although it boasts a much older origin. We will not miss the famous shell shaped square, Piazza del Campo: this is the stage where twice a year, in the summer time, the Palio horse race is performed. We will include the church where St. Catherine's relics are kept and the Duomo, considered one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in Italy with unforgettable frescoes in the Piccolomini Library. And as we say, dulcis in fundo, time to taste ricciarelli, our typical almond pastry.
Piazza del Campo, Basilica di San Domenico, Duomo, piazza Tolomei and Piazza Salimbeni

This is a great way to see Siena and Elisabetta is a fantastic tour guide. She tailors the tour to you and goes at a speed you desire. If possible ask to include the Archives library. It is amazing. Elisabetta's English is perfect and sound American. You will live the tour.
