Siena 3 hour walking tour
This tour guides you through the old, medieval city of Siena and its tradition, discovering San Domenico's Church with Saint Catherine's chapel, the oldest still operating bank in the world, Monte dei Paschi di Siena and one of the world's most breathtaking folk festivals, Il Palio. Visiting the "contrada" churches, horse stables and the little fountain you'll come to understand the fundamental role the long-standing Palio event plays in Sienese life and the sense of social belonging it creates.
Equally essential stops are the unique Santa Maria Assunta Duomo and Piazza del Campo, the arena where all the festivities take place on 2nd July and 16th August.

The tour and tour guide were both awesome. We learned and saw so many interesting things about Siena and it's history from Roberta in this walking tour. There were so many cool insights and tidbits about both the local traditions and history and the broader historical context. Roberta was very personable, authentic, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Siena
