Visit a former concentration camp site and see the highlights of Berlin
Make the most of your day ashore with this combination tour of Berlin and Sachsenhausen concentration camp. We will meet at the memorial site Sachsenhausen where the Nazis established one of the main labor camps on German grounds in 1936. Until 1945 more than 200 000 people were imprisoned here and were exposed to hard physical labor and torture. Ten thousands of prisoners of war, Jews, gypsies, homosexuals or people persecuted for political or religious reasons were killed.
After two hours in camp we will drive into Berlin to see all the highlights of one of the most interesting cities in Europe and explore the history that shaped the World. It was in Berlin where German attitude was shaped, two World Wars were ignited and the Cold War saw its frontier and its end.
We will take a lot of photo stops and also get some local food to make the experience complete.

If you are ever in Berlin Arja is the tour guide you must have. She was so knowledgeable and made it so interesting that even my 15 year old son loved every minute of the day. This was my first time using a tour guide while on a cruise ship. At first, I was concerned about missing my ship but Arja made sure I was back on the ship exactly on time. We can't wait to go back to Germany and Arja is the only tour guide I will use. After spending a day with her we consider her a friend.
