Historical Center of Salvador, first capital of Brazil - Half Day Tour
Pelourinho is a World Human Heritage recognized by UNESCO. Salvador was the first capital of Brazil (settled in 1549) and the first tour that you should do is in our historical center. Most of our museums, schools of music/dance, cultural centers, and some top restaurants are here -do no miss it!
I will pick up up in you hostel/hotel and them let's walk and explore some of the treasures of Colonial Years. The same historical center that made Jorge Amado, Pierre Verger, and Carybe love Bahia.
I do different routes in a 2-3 hour tour, according to your preferences, but highly recommend visit Igreja São Francisco (5 starts attraction according to Quatro Rodas Guide) and the sunset at Elevador Lacerda!
(*THIS TOUR AND PRICE DOES NOT APPLY FOR CANRNIVAL SEASON - CHECK THE CALENDAR AND CARNIVAL TOUR OPTIONS)
We will explore the whole area of upper city from Largo do Pelourinho until Elevador Lacerda: cultural centers, museums, hand made crafts of local artists, etc. I usually during the tours suggest a 30-40 minutes free time that might be used for a meal, shopping or going to any specific place that is requested by you. I usually suggest to start this tour around 2:30-3:00PM, so we are able to see sunset by the end of the tour.

Our tour with Sayuri was PERFECT! We were a group of 3 and she did everything in her power to ensure that all 3 of us got to see things that we wanted to see. She took us to her favorite acarajé, and dropped us off at the end at an amazing restaurant to watch the end of the sunset. She was so sweet and patient and I TOTALLY recommend her!
