Private tour of the city that has been frozen in time
Enjoy a trip through the south Bohemian countryside, over rolling hills and past quaint villages, to find yourself in the enchanting Medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Renaissance castle with its colorful tower overlooks the beautifully preserved Old Town from a great hill.
This little gem of a city, practically breathing Bohemian charm, offers little cafes, art galleries, and antique shops lining the winding streets for you to visit.
Please note, to help enhance your experience for this program we will be accompanied by a local expert or historian (based on availability) for the short walk while we are in Cesky Krumlov.
We depart from Prague in the morning and travel through the beautiful Czech countryside to Cesky Krumlov, a two-hour drive to the south of Prague. We will be passing beautiful countryside along the way, including picturesque farms, villages, and castles. To make the travel pleasant, we will have a stop at a tiny Czech village for a relaxing coffee break. During this drive, I will give you a wonderful historical overview of the rich Czech past. When we arrive to Cesky Krumlov, we will have a local guide with an hour-and-a-half walk with them. We have the option to a local historical museum and an observation tower (this is optional, please contact me for additional cost). Upon arrival, we will visit this quaint little village with its cobblestone streets, unique cafes, and wonderful shops- all under the shadow of the great castle across the river. We will then visit the castle, including its expansive gardens and the unique theater in the round. We will return to Prague later that evening. Free time for lunch

In early September, 2019, my wife and I did a Prague full day city tour with Ljuba. She communicates well and is quite knowledgeable. We were able to see a lot of highlights in a short time scale. 2 days later we did the full day tour of Cesky Krumlov. We stopped at the medieval town of Pisek halfway which was delightful. Both days she picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Ljuba as a private tour guide in the Czech Republic. Don & Jane Rediker
