8 hour private tour visiting two World Heritage sites: A-Bomb Dome in Hiroshima Peace Park and Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima

Miyajima Island, one of the three most scenic sites in Japan, is well known for the Great Torii Gate and shrine buildings "floating" in the sea. Meet tame deer and explore narrow alleys. You will discover the island's unique history and taste local delicacies: large grilled oysters, freshly baked maple cakes, Hiroshima lemon flavour gelato and more!

The Atomic Bomb Dome is the only building which remains as it was after the nuclear bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. While visiting the park and the museum, you will learn how the citizens picked themselves up from the ruins and rebuilt today's peaceful "City of Water".

Must-try during your stay in Hiroshima is Okonomiyaki savoury pancake. You can have one for lunch, or I can recommend some restaurants in the area you are staying.

A Recent Review of this tour

Everything you can expect from a professional guide. She is well prepared, enthusiastic and sensitive to the needs of the group. She was able to change our itinerary on the fly when the weather(hot) and a medical issue came up. She is also knowledgeable and was able to communicate her information in an enjoyable fashion. Top of the line
