"I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money" Pablo Picasso
Barcelona was very important in Picasso 's life. Pablo Picasso arrived to Barcelona at the age of 14 and spent most of his childhood and his teenage years here.
The Picasso Museum is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Picasso. Furthermore, the museum, opened in 1963, also reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona.
After visiting the Picasso Museum, we will explore the narrow streets that compose the Old Town to see the places that were important for Picasso when he was young and , at the same time, see the gothic architecture of the Old city.
We will see the School of Fine Arts where he studied, the location of some of his studios, and the mural done by Picasso in 1962 at the School of Architecture of Barcelona. We will finish the tour visiting the Four Cats Tavern, where the intellectuals and artists of Picasso's time used to meet.

Vanessa did a great job making the museum interesting for all of the family members in our group of 9. We had a great time, and I would highly recommend her as a guide.
