Montserrat, a gorgeous rocky range and source of inspiration for Gaudi

On this full-day excursion, you will be visiting Montserrat, a unique rocky range located in a protected natural park, site of a Benedictine monastery and Basilica, and one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Spain.

Hundreds of visitors venerate every day the statue of Our Lady of Montserrat, La Moreneta (Black Madonna).
In addition to the spiritual aspects of the site, you will enjoy gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape.
All this combination of nature, art, and spirituality inspired very much to the most brilliant architect we have ever had in Spain: Antoni Gaudi.

We'll complete the day by visiting the Sagrada Familia, consider the symbol of Barcelona all over the world, still a work in progress, and enjoying an external view of two of his most iconic buildings: Batllo House and Mila House.

Please, be aware that the tour can be customized for your party in case you have any special requests.

Itinerary

We can start either with Sagrada Familia or Montserrat.
Booking permitting and after enjoying a scenic drive through Passeig de Gracia where the most outstanding Modernist buildings are located, we'd start by visiting the Sagrada Familia, most iconic building in town. You will be amazed and surprised by its uniqueness.
After paying a visit to this different religious building, we'll take our way to Montserrat, a spectacular rocky range that combines Art, culture, and spirituality.
We'll take the highway to the site giving you the opportunity of seeing Barcelona's countryside, different types of landscape that you will enjoy all along our way to the sacred mountain.
Once there, you have different options depending on your particular interests: p. e. an exhibit in case you want to achieve in-depth knowledge of the site and the community living there; a fantastic museum if you are passionate about art and or just hiking a little bit whereas enjoying the magnificent views.
