Immerse yourself in this UNESCO jewel at your own pace
There are places that somehow manage to get under your skin and Bruges is that kind of place. A city whose history made it great, resulting in a well-deserved classification as a Unesco World Heritage site.
On this day tour I will take you along on a fascinating trail. You'll discover hidden gems and secret places next to the must-see heritage and architectural highlights of Bruges. The tour also includes some local flavours (finger food and Belgian beer sampling) as well as a 30-minute canal cruise, a visit to a lace-maker and private museum, a stop at a local chocolatier. And last but not least why not indulge in a freshly baked Belgian waffle!
(The historic center of Bruges is quite compact and most sights are within walking distance from each other).
We wander the cobblestone streets of the romantic Minnewater (Lake of Love), take in Saint John's Hospital, Our Lady's Church with the statue by Michelangelo, City Hall, the Market Square and the medieval Chapel of the Holy Blood. Enjoy a canal boat tour along Bruges' picturesque canals and soak up the city views from a different angle and then reach the city gates and the eye-catching windmills. Indulge in a typical Belgian beer, some cheese, fries, waffle, chocolate and much more (your choice).
And then, . . . . . let me know what you enjoy doing and seeing. This is your tour, we'll make the most out of it.

Joyce is a fabulous guide. Her knowledge of the history, culture and the best places to sample local delicacies (chocolate, beer, waffles, cheese, frites, more chocolate) made this tour rich and exciting. She was open to our questions and freely discussed topics we raised - some potentially controversial. She helped us to more deeply understand Belgium - both historically and modern day. She is the reason we do private tours, a valuable resource.
