Design Your Own Tour!

There is so much more to Boston and Cambridge than the Freedom Trail and Harvard Yard! We've been called "The Athens of the New World" thanks to all the brilliant minds who have called these two cities home. (Think Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Edgar Allen Poe, and Alexander Graham Bell to name just a few). We built an entire neighborhood out of a swamp, and designed both the first Botanical Garden and the first planned rural cemetery in the United States. Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and Old Cambridge are steps from the Freedom Trail and full of their own fascinating history!

If you'd like to add a little more flavor to your visit, feel free to reach out and we can design an itinerary that suits your interests.

Itinerary

Some possibilities included:

Boston Public Garden

Beacon Hill

Harvard Square beyond Harvard University:
Including The Longfellow House, Cambridge Common and the Old Cambridge Burial Ground

Back Bay:
Including Copley Square

Meeting Point + Tour Duration

Meeting Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Hotel, Monument/Building

Duration: 4 hours

Four hours is my suggestion to be able to fit in a nice assortment of sites! I am also happy to customize to your schedule and interests. This tour has a minimum of 2.5 hours at $100.00 per hour.

Transportation

I feel the best way to see Boston is on foot! Our drivers are a little crazy and parking can range from perilous to non-existant. We can incorporate Lyft, Uber, or subway rides into our tour in order to cover a little more distance a little more quickly. If you'd like to include transportation in the invoice, I would be happy to add that cost in advance.

What’s Included

  • Guiding Services

Other: My time and experience of the city.
Stories of the people and events that have shaped Boston from its founding to today.
Suggestions on what to see and where to go in and around Boston and Cambridge.
I am happy to include admission, parking, or other fees into the invoice if applicable to our custom itinerary.

Estimated Local Cash Needed

20 USD - Most places take credit cards, but it never hurts to have a little cash on hand for snacks or souvenirs!

What’s Extra

  • Personal Expenses
  • Souvenirs
  • Public Transportation Tickets
  • Food, Drinks, Snacks

Other: Transportation: If you are interested in seeing the city with a car and driver, please consider the Driving Tour!
Admission to any sites or museums and parking or subway fees not discussed in our invoice.

Restrictions

I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver with advanced notice and an additional per hour cost.

Tours inside Harvard Yard are only available between 8am and 5pm.
