In this tour we'll discover highlights of the Vatican City, an amazing little nation governed by the Pope.
I work in the Vatican as a Museum Educator, so I know this site very well and I'll give you tips and suggestions to beat crowds.
This tour is suggested for a first visit in the Vatican and includes a selection of the best art of the Vatican Museums, a visit in the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica of St. Peter.

the Basilica of St. Peter is a working church, so can close without notice for religious events or security reasons. I'm NOT responsible for this issue, but I'll do my best to provide the tour as described.

Only small backpacks or handbags allowed
no large umbrellas (telescopic umbrellas are OK)
Follow the DRESS CODE (women, men and kids)
knees and shoulders must be covered
**Bermuda and Capri pants OK, NO shorts**
If you want to wear sleeveless shirts during the tour is OK, just bring with a scarf to cover your shoulders when requested.
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building, Suggested by Guide: At the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. It's on the north side of the Vatican City, 20 minutes walk from the St.Peter's Plaza The address is "Viale Vaticano" (photo and map in the gallery). I'll be standing at the white gate, at the small staircase, with a folder with your name so you can recognize me

Duration: 3 hours
-This tour is not available on Wednesdays (there is the Papal Audience in the St.Peter's Plaza) and Sundays, and on Catholic festivities.
In case of an unplanned closure of the Basilica of St.Peter we'll visit another section of the Museums.
-From April to October, the Museum welcomes 30.000 visitors per day, so is often very crowded
Choose to start at noon if you want to avoid crowds (or choose the VIP early entrance tour)

I'm not a driver. I provide WALKING tours, with a special focus on Art and Archaeology. If needed, we can take cabs or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.
