Add some adventure on your holidays in the Azores and get off usual tourist routes on a 4WD tour to Sete Cidades (Twin Lakes). Located on the west side of Sao Miguel island, explore one of the most beautiful seven wonders of Portugal where the volcanic craters gave rise to numerous lakes surrounded by lush vegetation, each one with its own unique beauty like the Empadadas lakes, Santiago Lake and of corse the emblematic blue and green waters of Sete Cidades Lake. There are several viewpoints along the way, such as Carvão, and Vista do Rei, where you can contemplate the landscape. On sunny days the volcano rim - Cummeiras trail - the most dramatic dirt trail in the whole island, it's a must do with stunning views from both sides. Have a visit to the local church and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the village located right inside the crater. In the way back to Ponta Delgada, a trail around the lake edge, passing through a small peninsula covered by beautiful trees and flowers.

- Main road until the mountains top;
- "Empadadas" lakes;
- "cumeeiras" dirt trail on the mountain top with breathtaking views (only if weather permits);
_ "Sete Cidades" parish inside the crater;
_ "Peninsula" dirt trail on the lake edge,
- "Santiago" lake viewpoint;
- "Cerrado das Freiras" Viewpoint
- "Carvão" viewpoint;
- Return at Ponta Delgada.
