Highlights of Auckland and the West with a private guide
From the park-like setting of the picturesque Cornwall Park and Auckland Domain, to the thrilling sight of breakers pounding onto a West Coast beach, todays half-day tour provides a veritable feast of contrasting experiences.
We enjoy a taste of what Auckland has to offer from the delightful Cornwall Park, before passing through the Auckland Domain, with its duck ponds, gardens, and the grand War Memorial Museum.
Travelling west through the picturesque village of Titirangi the road takes us through native bush and stunning views to the West Coast and the black sand beaches, featuring the imposing Lion Rock.
There is the opportunity for a short walk through native bush, beside a delightful stream, before returning to Auckland city and your nominated destination.
We start with a drive through the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall Park, with sheep and cattle grazing in the fields.
Moving on to the delightful Auckland Domain, we pass the manicured gardens and the stately War Memorial Museum. The journey through the historic Parnell village links with the road to the West.
After leaving the township of Titirangi, we travel through native bush to the Arataki Visitor Centre for brilliant views of the surrounding area and information about the history of the region.
On to the pounding surf and black sand of Piha, our West Coast destination, always linked with the iconic Lion Rock. Time for a visit to the popular Piha Cafe, then for those willing and able, a short walk along a well-formed track towards the Kitekite Falls.
On our return journey to Auckland city, we travel again through the native bush which is so much of a feature of West Auckland, then return to your nominated destination.

John, Is a very nice guy. We did City to Shores tour and really enjoyed it because it was a area of Auckland that few get to experience. Most indelible experience was at the Arataki Visitor Center lookout area. You could see how close the Tasman Sea comes to the Pacific Ocean on the north island, about 3 miles. Great tour. Highly recommend it. Great job John!!
