Experience the beauty, uniqueness, and magic of this area
You will experience the beauty & magic of this side/part of the Big Island, why it unique in the Hawaiian chain, and why I have chosen to live here. You will learn a lot about Hawaiian history, culture, the language, trees, fruits, flowers, birds, animals, and more. There will be many great photo ops. It will be a very educational, informative, interesting, fun, and memorable tour that you will remember & cherish the rest of your life.
Starting in Hilo the highlights are Banyan Drive with Liluokalani garden & Moku Ola (Coconut island), the Kamehameha Statue (with history), & Rainbow Falls. From Hilo we head to the Puna district, the "Last Hawaiian Frontier", Lava tree state park, down in Kalapana (where the road ends, due to the most recent lava flow, and the Aloha begins) where you can walk on a recent lava flow down to a black sand beach, drive along the beautiful coast stopping at McKenzie Park, lava tubes, & more, a secret spot, then to Pohoiki bay and/or the "warm ponds" for swimming or laying in the thermally heated water then on down, time allowing stop at Maunaloa Macadamia nut farm on the way back to Hilo or we do the major sites at Volcano National Park. The tour is filled with interesting information about Hawaiian history, culture, trees, flowers, fruits & many things that make this a real island paradise.
