See the best of Rotterdam, great city that will surprise you. With private guide and private car
We meet at the place of you choice in Amsterdam or area and drive with private car to Rotterdam, city voted number 5 of best places to visit in Europe by lonely planet. The architecture is unique. The near-complete destruction of the city centre in the World War II Rotterdam Blitz has resulted in a varied architectural landscape, including sky-scrapers (an uncommon sight in other Dutch cities) designed by renowned architects Beautiful buildings like central station that opened in 2016, the cube houses and don't forget the food market. Apartments are draped over the food market in a horseshoe configuration. The Markthal has about 100 fresh food stands, nearly 15 food shops and various restaurants. As you wander amongst the market stands, look up to enjoy the massive artwork sprawling across the ceiling: the 'Horn of Plenty' by Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam. Thanks to this grand span of art, the Markthal has been referred to as the Dutch version of the Sistine Chapel.

Jolijn customized this trip for us at our request. One of the people traveling with us wanted to see the Van Raam bicycle factory on the far east side of the Netherlands. The factory was fascinating and much more than we had expected. If it hadn't been for her we wouldn't have made it to this special place where family roots run deep. The bicycles are specially designed for people with all sorts of limitations. Very inspiring and we had fun riding some of the bikes outside from the show room!
