Enjoy a comprehensive overview of historic Bethlehem and around on this 8-hour private tour. You'll visit religious monuments, including St. George's Monastery, Mar Saba Monastery, the Church of the Nativity, the Church of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto Shrine, the Cave of St. Jerome, and Shepherd's Field, where the angel appeared to the shepherds. Along the way, enjoy a falafel lunch (optional) and see some of Banksy's graffiti art.
We meet at Bethlehem 300 Checkpoint. Women should dress modestly and bring a scarf to ensure admission to St. George's Monastery.
Visit St. George's Monastery in Wadi Qelt passing by St. Theodosius' Monastery, where the wise men hid from Herod the Great after they visited the baby Jesus in Bethlehem.
Visit the largest monastery in the Jerusalem Wilderness, Mar Saba Monastery dates back to the 5th century AD. NOTE: women are not allowed to enter the monastery. Everyone will enjoy an outside view of the site, but only men will be allowed to go inside.
Visit Beit Sahour, the city of the shepherds. Visit Shepherd's Field, where the angel appeared to the shepherds and told them about Jesus' birth. Optional falafel lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Church of the Nativity, a UNESCO site, the place where Jesus was born. Visit the Cave of St. Jerome, below the church, where he translated the bible.
Visit the Church of St. Catherine and the Milk Grotto, and see Banksy's graffiti. Back to Bethlehem 300 Checkpoint.
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Suggested by Guide: We meet at Bethlehem 300 Checkpoint in Bethlehem side of the wall. Here is the location in google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/Rjow2VXFiYr If you are coming from Jerusalem, you need to take bus 234 from the bus station in Damascus Gate. The last stop is Bethlehem 300 Checkpoint. It cost around 5 NIS per person.
Duration: 8 hours
During the tour, I will be using Hyundai Accent 2015. This car will be used to pick you up from the meeting point, to move from one site to another, then to drop you back to the ending point. Transportation from your hotel to the meeting location is not included.

100 USD - You need money for your transportation from Jerusalem to the meeting point in Bethlehem and back. Also, you might need some money in case you wanted to go shopping or get a drink and for lunch.
I'm a licensed guide in Palestine only but not Israel but I can arrange transportation and pick ups upon request for individuals, small and larger groups and can arrange a separate driver if necessary.
