Half day private tour in the outskirts of Budapest by van/car/driver and guide
Szentendre is a lovely, charming, Baroque town on the Danube bank 20 km from Budapest. In the 18th century it used to be the center of the Serbs in Hungary, when it became the seat of their commercial, cultural and ecclesiastical life for a hundred years. Its crooked streets, narrow, romantic alleys, seven church towers, colorful houses, the dominant Mediterranean atmosphere and plenty of its museums make this charming, little town the most frequently visited centers on the Danube Bend.
This tour is available for large and private groups as well.
Please request for price quotation.
Drive along the river Danube by the Roman amphitheaters and ruins of Aquincum by the northern part of Buda. Visit the town of Szentendre, a charming town with Mediterranean atmosphere. Seven church steeples, colorful houses, cobble-stoned streets, many cafes and shops, narrow alleys and almost 40 galleries and museums make Szentendre one of the most beautiful and most visited towns in Hungary.
Visit the Museum of Margit Kovacs who was a ceramist and sculptor, one of the reformers of the ceramic arts, donated a significant part of her life's work to the museum in 1972.
In Szentendre we'll have the opportunity to enjoy some traditional Hungarian specialities and wine tasting in the Hungarian National Wine Museum, set up in an ancient wine cellar below the water level of the Danube.

Was our second day of touring with Andrea. She is a real pro--quick witted with such a sunny disposition. The vehicles she arranged for both days (1 a huge & very comfortable Mercedes Sprinter type van) were luxurious & extremely comfortable. Only wish we had more time to stop, shop & enjoy the cutest village area full of cafes & local shops after our 1st class, local hungarian lunch @ Gold Dragon (really fine restaurant--so authentic with 1st class wait staff. No one knows Budapest better--great insights
