Explore a charming little town which often called as Artist's Village at the gate of the Danube bend
This picturesque town often called as Artist's Village is located in a beautiful surroundings of Budapest.
Lots of cafes, galleries, restaurants, wine cellars, small walking streets and very friendly atmosphere makes your trip memorable here.
We explore the old baroque part of the town, walk along narrow streets, visit the main square where you can find several churches which churches make Szentendre unique as well (we can visit one of the Serbian Orthodox one if you want) then we walk up to the panorama point, for a great view and you will understand why Szentendre has a special atmosphere.
This small town has a lot to offer. There are several museums, galleries so we can visit some of them, e. g. the Marcipan Museum and/or visit the Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum.
You will also have the opportunity to go for shopping.
In case you would stay more then 4 hours, you can ask for an extra hour.
Next to Szentendre we can also visit the Skanzen Open Air Museum where you can learn about the way of life in the Hungarian language area from the 2nd half of the 18th century to the 1st half of the 20th century, through original and authentic objects, relocated houses arranged in old settlement patters.

Orsolya is a fantastic tour guide and made this half day trip a delight. Quaint little town with lots of art and shops. She is very knowledgeable on this history of the area. We learned so much, I just hope that I can retain a good portion of it. Would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Budapest.
