Founded in the 8th century b. C. by the Greeks, Syrakuse had to become one of the most powerful towns of the mediterranean sea together with Athens.
We will visit the archaeological park called Neapolis with the ancient Greek theatre, the Roman amphitheatre, the Altar of Ieron II and the limestone quarries.
In the baroque centre of the quarter Ortigia the cathedral, the fountain Arethusa and the Apollon temple.
