Greek and Roman presence in Syracuse
Syracuse was founded as a Greek colony in the VIII cen BC. It bacame the most important city in the Mediterranean.
The tour begins at the archeological park Neapolis, where we can admire the stunning monuments built at that time. The next stage is the archeological museum P. Orsi which contains a rich collection of ancient objects and artifacts.
Finally we will move to Ortigia island where Greek monuments together with buildings from different times make it a unique place, rich in history.
