Private Tour - World War 2 History with nature.
First concentration camp built outside Germany and the longest in operational. Prisoners from over twenty countries killed by gas, hunger, torture and work. Hidden deep in the forest, surrounded by water, it was almost impossible to escape. Getting there takes us across the longest river in Poland, and it's unique delta landscape. The Vistula lagoon divided in two by the Russian border. Malbork biggest brick castle in the world. A landscape protected from the sea by dykes, canals and the hand of God.
From Gdansk we go east to Stutthof Concentration Camp along the way we will see one of the last windmills in Zulawy, beautiful wooden porched houses from the 18th century. A fishing village on the Vistula lagoon which is full of stories and fish. The main aim of the trip is the horror camp of Stutthof. We will stop at quaint 15th century churchyard. The 700 year-old headquarters of the Teutonic Knights - Malbork Castle, a perfect location for a photo stop. This trip is one of my favorites.
