An English Countryside Tour including Stonehenge and Bath
This Day Excursion from London is a real treat, as we get to explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most famous and mysterious stone circle on the planet, Stonehenge.
Stonehenge is of course a massive prehistoric monument, a ring of standing stones - whose builders and its purpose remain a mystery, and its ancient ceremonial landscape is perhaps best seen late afternoon or early evening.
Join me in a walk in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors, and enjoy the Stonehenge Exhibition at the fantastic new English Heritage Visitor Centre.
Bath has been described as like 'a drop of golden honey in a sea of green'.
Come and explore Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Georgian Architecture and maybe Afternoon Tea in the Regency Tea Rooms at the Jane Austin Centre.
From your central London hotel we shall head directly to the City of Bath, a journey of just under 2 hours, and on arrival will be boosted by a visit to one of the City's finest coffee houses.
Our exploration of Bath will start with a visit to the Roman Baths to enjoy the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the Museum.
There are so many amazing options for lunch before continuing where among the highlights we shall visit Bath Abbey, the Assembly Rooms, Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery and the Jane Austin Museum, among some exquisite Georgian architecture, on my unique walking tour.
We shall leave Bath late afternoon for the journey to Stonehenge to view the Stones and the magical landscape, and learn about the people involved in its construction and its meaning, through a powerful combination of cutting-edge audio-visual experiences and incredible ancient objects.
After a very full day you can relax and unwind on our trip back to central London.

Paul was very informative and quite delightful and an easy conversationalist. He was also very accommodating to my slow walking and tailored the tour to my abilities. I would book him again!
