Explore Saint John with a private Step-on guide!

I will meet your Motor Coach or Motor Vehicle. Our stops will include the Reversing Rapids, with a detailed explanation of the power of the Bay of Fundy Tides and how they reverse the Saint John River. We will drive by Martello Tower, built for the War of 1812, to protect our citizens. Looking out into the Harbour to Partridge Island, used in the 1800's as an immigration/quarantine station. You will hear about the French, Irish, European, and English immigrants who arrived on our shores throughout our history dating back to 1604. Our Tour will take us into the Southern Peninsula of Saint John (Trinity Royal) to experience the Victorian era Architecture. King Square and Queen Square with their various monuments and gardens. The Old City Market and its unique design built in 1876 will surely delight you as you browse the isles, loaded with local crafts and produce. Pass the Old Loyalist Burial Grounds. Drive through Rockwood Park with its swimming beaches, Camp Ground and Horse Stable.


Dependant on the Tides we will travel to the Reversing Rapids when the tides are optimal for viewing. Reversing Rapids, Martello Tower, Tour of the Trinity Royal Historic District, Queen Square, King Square, Loyalist Burial Grounds, Old City Market, Rockwood Park, Mt. Pleasant, beautiful, historic Homes dating back to the early 1800's, including the KC Irving home (one of the wealthiest families in Canada). Fort Howe, the site of a fortress built in 1777 (there are no remains of this fortress) . This area has a replica of a Block House, Old Canons and a panoramic view of Uptown Saint John. We will visit the Old City Market, built in 1876, the first common law market in Canada. The stalls are filled with local crafts, produce and an opportunity to have lunch or a snack. A great place to end your Tour with your local guide.

End location: At the same location as the start of the Tour or any local address.
