See this American treasure with an experienced and fun guide!
The Statue of Liberty is America's most treasured icon. For millions of immigrants Lady Liberty was the sight that welcomed them to their new land. Come with me as we explore Liberty Island, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I'll secure your tickets in advance, meet you at your hotel and escort you to Battery Park for departure on the Liberty Island ferries. I'll then be with you every step of the way, providing you with informative narrative about the history of The Statue. After the Statue of Liberty a ferry will take us to Ellis Island where we will retrace the steps of the immigrants who first stepped foot in America on this island. After our tour of Ellis Island, we will reboard the ferry for the last time back to Battery Park from where I will escort you back to your hotel.
This is a walking tour. I'll meet you at your hotel and then we will take public transit to Battery Park.
After security we'll board a ferry to Liberty Island and walk the grounds for spectacular views of Manhattan, New York Harbor and Lady Liberty. I'll point out the best photo spots while adding hidden history.
There are 3 types of tickets:
Reserved - Island grounds access only.
Pedestal - Reserved plus museum and top of the pedestal.
Crown - Pedestal plus access to the crown. This requires climbing 162 stairs on a circular stairway.
Cost is $18 per ticket which is paid when you book the tour. Please let me know which option you'd prefer. I can make recommendations which is best for you.
After the Statue of Liberty, we'll board the ferry for the trip to Ellis Island. We'll walk along the very same path millions of immigrants - perhaps even your ancestors - took on their way to becoming Americans. We'll board the ferry for the trip back to Battery Park, after which I'll escort you back to your hotel.

From the time he met us at the hotel, escorted us to the subway and then on to Liberty Island and Ellis Island, Brian gave us the experience of the immigrants and what it was like to come to New York. He had great knowledge and details about these areas as well as the growth of New York City. And he allowed us as much time as we wanted at the locations to truly enjoy our experience.
