Petersburg - a true local! After my studies at the State University, I have been teaching English and working as a summer guide. I also travel around Europe a lot.
I can say that St-Petersburg has absorbed different epochs and styles from ancient Egypt to Art Nouveau and Soviet Constructivism. Here lived and worked people like Heinrich Schliemann (discoverer of Troy), Ivan Pavlov (physiologist), Feodor Dostoevsky (writer), Alfred Nobel etc.
In a relatively short period of existence of the city there are many different events: Crimean campaign of 1854, three Russian revolutions, WW2, 900 days of Siege. I can show you sites relating to each of these and bring their stories to life for you.
If you decide to come it will be an unforgettable experience, you will be enriched with new thoughts and feelings!
See you soon!

Dasha was great and very knowledgeable. There were some large tour groups at the palace and she was really good about maneuvering us through them so we could see things and get through in a reasonable amount of time. She was also very accommodating and helped us find a watch factory we were interested in visiting then she translated all the information for us during the tour. I would highly recommend her!
