Meet 4 of St Martin's artists and admire their work during this around-the-island tour
This enlightening tour takes you around our island, to both the Dutch and the French side, while visiting the island's best artists at their gallery, studio or home.
Check out the photos and pick 4 artists you would love to visit. Among them is one sculptor and one jewelry maker, the others are painters. The painters all depict St Martin's views, flora, and people in vibrant colours, and in their own distinctive style.
The artists also have interesting stories to share. What brought them to St Martin and which challenges did they have to overcome, such as Zdenka who sailed across the Atlantic from Europe by herself, escaping the war going on in her home country, then Yugoslavia.
Dame Ruby is in her 70s and a true story teller and poet, she has many stories of the olden days on St Martin, how people lived here and how that inspires her still today.
And then there's Tess with her passion for the local youth, she offers free art classes to those who can't afford, and she started a waste factory.
The tours goes around St Maarten and St Martin while visiting the four artists of your choice.

I suggest meeting up to start the tour at 9 am so the traffic is still doable and it won't be too hot when we return 4 hours later. If your ship arrives in port at 8.30 am or earlier this will work fine.
Let me know if your ship is scheduled to arrive later, then I'll adjust the start time accordingly.
