Re-imagining America's iconic imagery in Shades of Gray.
International award-winning photographer, Grand Canyon - Parashant National Monument 2017 Artist in Residence, author, workshop leader, DSU community education instructor and speaker. My images have been sold worldwide for use in magazines, newspapers, brochures and even a jigsaw puzzle. As a leader of a local group of photography enthusiasts, I lead almost weekly field trips to destinations near and far, do monthly critiques, and do mini-workshops promoting the idea that everyone embrace the saying, " I'm an artist with a camera. "
Southern Utah is a photographer's paradise and I am privileged to live in this beautiful area that is blessed with nearly unlimited opportunities to hike, mountain bike and practice the art of photography. I love being out with people and sharing with them the beauty that is Southern Utah; especially those places that only locals visit. Even in the iconic locations, I shot the iconic shot first, then search for the place that will make it my own. Get down low, find the high ground and go that extra little bit to capture something beyond what 4 million other people see when they visit our national lands.
