Full day excursion
On this great day trip you will see the wild moorlands, mountains and lakes of Snowdonia, secluded valleys and villages, as well as forests, waterfalls and steam railways. You can visit the medieval Conwy castle (one of the best preserved and most iconic in the UK) You can have a tour around the castle interior or take a walk around the walls to take in views of the town and coast. We move on to the lovely village of Betws-y-Coed for a short stop. Here you can shop for souvenirs or visit the tiny 14th Century Church or wander through the Railway museum.
Then on through the breathtaking mountain passes of Llanberis with magnificent scenery at every turn, here you have the option of a trip on one of the heritage steam railways that operate in the national park. We also fit in a visit to the award winning National Slate Museum (free entry) We can lunch at one of the many country pubs or Cafe's offering good food and local ales. In short a wonderful day exploring one of the UK's most awe inspiring areas
Meet and greet at pick up point.
Travel to Conwy Town to experience this beautiful walled town on the River Conwy estuary. See the medieval castle with the option of a tour inside to follow the history trail. Travel on to see the pretty market town in Llanwryst with the option of stopping for tea and a scone at the stunning Tu-Hwnt-I'r Bont tea-rooms. Then on to Betwysycoed called the 'gateway to Snowdonia' with the option of taking lunch here at this pretty Victorian resort. We then travel on in to the mountains of the Snowdonia range passing over the Llanberis pass with wonderful landscape at every turn. Depending on your preferences we can either stop in Llanberis to visit the award winning slate museum, or travel on to the coastal town of Caernarfon, to explore this coastal town and it's wonderful castle, considered the best preserved medieval castle in North Wales. We then head back to Liverpool with some great memories of North Wales!
