Slovenia from Italy at a glance with a private guide
Take the most of your Trieste (shore or hotel) stop and visit two main attractions in Slovenia: the capital and the karstic cave! First, we are hiding to the city in the heart of the country. Mornings are in the city the most beautiful! We shall have a stroll along the major city sights: Prešeren Square, Market, Cathedral, Town Hall, Three, Cobblers, Butchers and Dragon's Bridge. Some time for coffee and refreshments. Afternoon we are going to spend in the mysterious Predjama castle and in an absolute Slovenian highlight- Postojna underground cave. Soon you are going to realize, you should have spent more time here, so it will just a question of time when shall we meet again!
Soon after we start our tour we shall cross the border Italy Slovenia. There is no passport checking, however you need to have your ID with you. After approx. an hour we shall reach Slovenian capital. We are going to have a nice stroll along the river Ljubljanica and see the major sights: Three bridges, Prešeren Square, Market, Butchers, Cobblers and Dragon Bridge, Cathedral and a Town Hall. There will be some time for your own discoveries. In the afternoon we visit Postojna cave and Predjama castle. The tours are run by local cave guides. From Postojna we have approx 45 minutes and we are back in Trieste again! Just about the right time to refresh yourself and get ready for dinner! If you are a wine lover, we could visit one of the winecellars for a wine tasting.

Oh my goodness! Absolutely phenomenal! Mateja was an excellent guide! She was on time picking us up, and she took care of us the entire day. She was a wealth of knowledge about the area and was professional and friendly! The weather turned bad with snow and sleet, but she handled everything perfectly! I absolutely recommend her as a tour guide! This was well worth every euro we spent!
