Take it all in at an easy pace

I'm yours for the day! We can start this all-inclusive tour at your hotel and I can tell you all about the city's history as we wander wherever your curiosity takes you. Take the time to enjoy two museums and some of our delicious local food along the way. Want to know where the good shopping is? Grab some sweets? Grab a drink? You can get your drinks to go in Savannah, by the way. We can end this tour back at your hotel or someplace else entirely. You'll have time to ask me every question that's on your mind. I'll even help you plan out the rest of your visit here!

We'll begin our tour at your hotel or at another suitable location if you are not staying in the Historic District. What interests you and what you want to see will decide where we go and how long we spend there. You have the option of stopping for a bite to eat and touring two different house museums, though you will have to pay the price of admission. We can end our day back at your hotel or somewhere else entirely. Because this tour is on foot, bad weather may limit our options or necessitate rescheduling.

Meeting Location + Tour Duration

Meeting location: I can meet you and start the tour from your hotel anywhere from River Street to Gwinnett Street and from MLK Blvd. to East Broad Street, including the Residence Inn (500 Charlton St.) and the Marriott Riverfront. If your hotel is outside the Historic District, I can recommend a good starting point after you have booked the tour.

End location: We can end the tour back at your hotel or someplace else if you like. You may choose to wind down at a local watering hole or in a cafe.

Duration: 6 hours

The time is not necessarily exact. I will ramble on and on, so let me know at the beginning of the tour if you have any reservations to keep or other time constraints.

We will be mostly on foot. If it becomes necessary, we could flag down a pedicab (which is inexpensive) or hop on the city's fare-free DOT shuttle.

What’s Included

Access to no-cost public attractions (depending on their visiting hours) such as:
- Ships of the Sea Museum's north garden
- the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist
- the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension
- Savannah Theatre
- the Lucas Theatre

Estimated Local Cash Needed

70 USD - This should be enough to cover the cost of admission to two museums and enjoy a nice lunch. I've also estimated a little extra in case you decide to take a pedicab ride. This amount could be much less depending on your choices.

What’s Extra

Lunch and/or drinks at a restaurant of your choice
Possible pedicab fare
Admission to two different museums

I am not licensed to conduct tours from within a vehicle.

I have access to public historical spaces, but not private homes or house museums.

All of my tours take place within the Landmark Historic District.

A Recent Review of this tour

Bonnie was an incredible guide. She was so knowledgeable about Savannah and gave us so much history of the area. She was enthusiastic and so helpful in accommodating our needs. Would recommend her to anyone wanting an in depth tour of Savannah full of local history and flavor.
