Noto: Explore The stone garden with your private tour guide
Guided walking tour of the town of Noto, the capital of the Sicilian Baroque. Starting from Porta Reale (Royal Gateway), you will go through the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the main street, lined with impressive religious buildings: the St. Francis' from Assisi church, the St. Chiara's church, the St. Saviour's church and its stunning alongside monastery.
You will reach the main square, overlooked by the city hall, the 18th century Palazzo Ducezio and by the Cathedral, the finest example of the Sicilian baroque. Its impressive central dome collapsed in 1996 and was rebuilt again in 2007. Turning to the right of Corso V. Emanuele you will find yourself in the impressive Corrado street, where the amazing Nicolaci di Villadorata palace stays with its elegant balconies richly carved with grotesque figures.
The Nicolaci street is the setting for the famous flower festival, Infiorata, taking place the third weekend of May, The tour ends at Piazza XXVI Maggio with its beautiful St. Dominic'church and Civic theatre.
