Discover the top 3 tourist destinations in Romania
A great option for a first visit to Romania, this tours takes you to landmarks of the country's intricate history and enchanting geography.
First on the list is Sinaia, a charming mountain town that grew around the homonymous 17th century Christian Orthodox monastery. Sinaia flourished as a high-class mountain resort due to the royal summer residence built there starting 1873 - the famous Peles Castle which you will get the chance to visit.
The second highlight of the tour is the Bran Castle known especially because of its subtle links with the story of Dracula. A visit to this 14th century fortress is the perfect occasion to discuss both the history and the legends surrounding the place.
Last but certainly not least we have the gorgeous Saxon town of Brasov with lots to see around its medieval core.
By the end of the day you will most probably have plenty of beautiful photos and dear memories to share with the people back home.
We leave Bucharest early morning heading to the Carpathian mountains, north of Bucharest.
Our first stop is Sinaia where you will visit the stunning Peles Castle, summer residence of King Carol I of Romania. We can also make a short visit to the medieval Christian Orthodox monastery of Sinaia that gave the town its name.
We get back on the road towards our next destination - the Bran Castle. This 14th century fortress turned into a royal residence in the 20th century is one of the top tourist attractions in Romania. After exploring it we will head to the charming town of Brasov for a stroll through its iconic medieval center.
We will of course stop for lunch whenever you feel like it as there a number of good restaurants in all three towns.
Keep in mind that Peles Castle is closed on Mondays all year round, and on Tuesdays during winter. We may replace it either with a visit to the Pelisor Castle or the 14th century Rasnov Citadel or we may enjoy the extra time for a more thorough exploration of Brasov.
