Discover Old Quebec, the Montmorency Falls and the Beaupré Coast
With a true european feeling, Quebec City has a rich culture still very authentic, especially in the countryside. This tour starts with a quick stroll around Old Quebec and all the main attractions in the area. Then, we travel to the Beaupré Coast which means discovering some of the oldest houses still standing in North America, family owned businesses and the famous shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré basilica.
We will also discover the Parc-de-la-Chute-Montmorency: the most spectacular falls in the province, one and a half times higher than Niagara Falls. You will enjoy the outstanding view from the top overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
Our day starts with a quick driving tour of Old quebec for about an hour. We are going to take few minutes in the oldest area, also considered as the birthplace of Quebec, where you will truly feel like you are on a different continent.
Then, for another hour, we will get to the Montmorency Falls where you will have the chance to discover great sceneries of the countryside and the beautiful manor that was once owned by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.
Finally, taking Royal Avenue, we will slowly drive to the shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré where thousands of pilgrims go every years. It was proven that miracles happened inside this basilica. We will visit the interior of the basilica and the basement. On our way to the shrine, on the Beaupré Coast, you will see some of the oldest houses still standing in North America.
