The Engyoji temple is well-known where the shoot footage of the Hollywood movie "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe. The precincts remind you the scenes where they had acted.
Secondly, we visit Koko-en Garden next to Himeji Castle.
The garden is about 3. 5 ha and it is composed of nine different gardens.
The highlight, Himeji castle, the national treasures in Japan and a UNESCO site, was completely reopened in March 2015 after the 5. 5-year construction. So you can enter and go up to the main keep.
Please wear socks to remove your shoes at the entrance of Japanese buildings.

1. Shinkansen ride from Shin-Osaka to Himeji,
2. Bus and ropeway ride to Engyoji Buddhist temple,
the Hollywood movie "The Last Samurai" was filmed. Please remove your shoes to enter buildings.
3. Ride a ropeway and bus back to Koko-en Garden.
4. Visit Himeji Castle.
5. Back to Osaka city by Shinkansen again and go to your hotel.
