Shore Excursion, Museums / Culture, First Time Visitor, City
Kid Friendly: Yes. The history of Copenhagen is exciting in it self, and the city offers plenty of fun for children.
Let me know if we should plan anything special for the kids.
Most sights and museums are pretty accessible, but let me know if there's need for any special considerations.
Maximum travelers: 8
English (fluent), Danish (fluent), German (basic), Norwegian (basic), Swedish (advanced)
Experience the happiest city on earth the way it should be experienced - by foot and public transport
Copenhagen has it all - renaissance castles, ultra modern glass/steel towers and quant, crooked cobble stone streets; michelin star restaurants, ultra hip microbreweries and hot dog vendors .
We will explore it all - or the parts that interests you the most - on this tour. We'll make time to see or taste the best of the city. Nothing is scheduled in advance - except a few places I can't let you leave without seeing.
From humble beginnings in 1167 Copenhagen has developed into something quite uniqe. I will try to give you the highlights of that development - and perhaps a few insight into this wonderful place.
Possible places to go:
Amalienborg castle (where the Queen and Co. lives)
Christiansborg castle (house of the Parliament) and the Royal library Garden
Rosenborg castle (strange little renaissance castle in the middle of everything)
The beautiful churches of "Our Lady", "Holy Spirit" and/or others
The dutch-ish 17th century quarter with canals and the "free-town" Christiania
The Vesterbro or Nørrebro districts
The all new district "Calrsberg Byen" (Carlsberg City - what a marketing stunt!)
and so much more. . .
