Discover the world's largest wooden structure and a beautiful aristocratic palace
Since 2011 in the middle of the old section of La Encarnación stands a mushroom-like structure, the "Metropol Parasol". It is popularly known as "Las Setas" (the Mushrooms in Spanish) because of its organic shape.
Inside the Metropol, there is a food market, with its colorful vegetable, fruit, Iberian ham and fish stalls. The colorful experience will allow us to learn about the rich local gastronomy.
From the "Mushrooms" roof there is a footbridge, from which the city displays itself in an amazing 360º view. Seville is rather a flat city, so from here we have the old town at our feet.
The "Dueñas Palace", is the house of the powerful, aristocratic Alba family in Seville, a 15th-century palace in Renaissance Style but with an Islamic touch.
The late Duchess of Alba, Cayetana, quite a peculiar lady, invited Jacqueline Kennedy to this house for a couple of weeks.
This visit will end with a Tapas Lunch in "El Rinconcillo", the oldest bar in Seville, from the 17th. century.
-We start the tour with a walk through the Food Market at Metropol Parasol.
-We take the lift in Metropol Parasol to go up to the Footbridge on the roof.
