Historical tour+river cruise
After the first trip of Columbus to America, the Spanish crown designated Seville as Port of the Indies, with the exclusive rights to trade with America. The Sevillian river port was safe and perfect to regulate this rich monopoly.
We will visit in this tour all the buildings that still stand as silent witnesses of that golden era. First of all , The General Archieve of the Indies, known by the historians as "The Mecca of Americanism". This superb building contains all the documents relative to the new world. We will continue walking to "Barrio de la moneda" former Royal spanish mint, were all the precious metals that used to come from America were transformed in coins and ingots. On the way we will take a look from out side of the medieval shipyards , where "La Niña" carabel was built. We will see as well the old School of Navigators , to finish with the emblematic Golden Tower , where we will ship in a boat cruise along the river that once was the bridge between the old and the new world.
