I met a girl and we became husband and wife in Seoul where I live with my family.
I worked for a trading company importing paper/ leather from Japan and Pakistan and I took the business' friends to tour Seoul.
I retired five years ago and I have worked as a full-time tour guide since then. In the first year, I worked for a tours company. I turned to a freelance tour guide from the second year.
I have time to study and visit historical places. I also spend the time reading newspapers. It is a good way to get what is going on here. I love to tell my guest about many local facts - economic situation, houses price, education system, minimum wage system, North Korea. Also, I tell stories about my parents that went through a lot and achieved success. They were born during the Japanese occupation, established R. O. K. and had Koreans war, then built this country.
You can tour with me in a van of 12 seats - good for 7 persons with luggages. I know many old restaurants which serve Korean style food, the printing street where North Korean refugees were settled during the Korean War. There, you can have authentic Korean food - Korea B. B. Q. , charcoal grilled eel and beef intestines, live octopus, blowfish stew, cold noodle with fermented fishes, a whole chicken stew. . .
Welcome to Korea and please, be my guest!
