Art Galleries and Culture Walk
Join me as I introduce you to Seattle's prolific and inspiring Art Scene. Participating art galleries and venues open their doors to the public once a month on first Thursdays to celebrate all things beautiful. We will begin at one of the first galleries to showcase Dale Chihuly's work over 30 years ago, and then wind our way through beautiful spaces from the Downtown Core to Pioneer Square and back up again. Be awed by one of the largest collections of Edward Curtis's photographs, local tribal art, paintings, and blown glass. There will be an opportunity for espresso, wine sips, and local cuisine along the way. Tour ends in time for dinner or further explorations at the Seattle Art Museum.
3:30 Meet at the William Traver Gallery, ground floor entrance on North side of Union Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue.
Interpretive talks and guided walk leave from here to explore the art in the downtown core to include works by Dale Chihuly, Jonathan Borofsky, and the interior of some of Seattles most unique and beautiful buildings from the Benaroya Symphony Hall to the Seattle Art Museum and others.
Wear good walking shoes as we will cover about 1. 5 miles and experience a hill or two.
We will make our way to Pioneer Square where we will stop for lite bites and visit four more galleries featuring stunning photography, Native American art, and a glass blowing studio.
Tour will conclude by 6:30 with a ride back to the downtown core where you can continue your explorations at the Seattle Art Museum or opt for a return to your hotel or another requested downtown drop off
