Behind the scenes of Chinatown, Japan Town, and Little Vietnam.
Seattle has an incredible Asian American history and in this tour you will find it. We start with a visit to Hing Hay Park where we may hear traditional music being played, or see traditional Chinese exercise Tai Chi. We will visit Uwajimaya, a large and historic Japanese Grocery store and Kinokunia Books, a world class bookstore filled with Japanese books and arts and crafts. There are many parts of the "International District" and we will visit such places at Japan Town, Little Vietnam, and other historic places in the district.
Pick up from cruise ship port in Seattle, or from your hotel for a private tour by car to Seattle's International District and Little Vietnam. We will visit Hing Hay Park and also take a stroll around Chinatown (International District) enjoying the architecture and learning about the history. We have a few options to include a visit to Uwajimaya Foods, a traditional Japanese grocery store with deep roots in Seattle. Another option is a visit to the Wing Luke Asian Art Museum and after a meal at Tai Tung Restaurant, a place Bruce Lee visited often.
