Architectural delights: Disney world like castle of Schwerin, historic Hanseatic city of Rostock

We will walk through the centre and after 1/2 hours walk we will arrive at the castle. Enjoy the marvellous sight of the Castle Gardens with the impressive orangerie. Get the "royal" atmosphere where the Dukes of Mecklenburg used to live. Time to visit the castle and afterwards we will enjoy a light lunch. During the afternoon we will travel east-wards to visit the old commercial centre, the Hanseatic town of Rostock. Let's have a closer look to the gothic church of St. Mary's with nearly 800 years of history. Very enjoyable tour. Karin was knowledgeable and very informative. Instead of taking the train, she rented a car which provided for a much more enjoyable experience.
