Coastal Vistas, Pali Lookout, Historic Sites
Discover East Oahu, from Diamond Head Lookout to Halona Blow Hole, Makapu'u and Waimanalo Beach. Take in the view of the Windward Coast from the Pali Lookout and drive through the rainforest where you'll hear birds and Nu'uanu Stream. Enjoy lunch at a local cafe along the way. Visit sites of historical significance from the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Iolani Palace and Pearl Harbor.
Depending on availability of tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial, we head for Pearl Harbor after I pick you up OR we head east to Diamond Head Lookout. If you have a sweet tooth, we'll pick up Portuguese malasadas at Leonard's Bakery or hold off in favor of a treat later in the day. In winter months we may see whales from Halona Blow Hole or Makapu'u Lookout.
Drive up the coast toward Waimanalo and one of the most beautiful and lightly-populated beaches on Oahu. At 1200 feet (385 mtrs), the Pali Lookout offers a panoramic view of the Windward Coast from Kailua to Kualoa.
If we didn't visit Pearl Harbor in the morning, we do so after lunch.
