The starting point of your tour will depend on what part of the city you are staying. However, it will cover:
Historical City Center, which includes the main cathedral, foundation place of Sao Paulo, Opera House, City Hall and Japan Town;
Ibirapuera Park (you get to know the park plus, you will be able to go on top of the Contemporary Art Museum to see the best view of the city, except on Mondays when museums are closed);
Paulista Ave (financial district) and Oscar Freire the posh street.
You will be able to enter some of the attractions and walk through the city as you like.
