I began to work as guide in 1986, I studied translation in English and French for 5 years. This career included also history, geography and other subjects. Besides my studies as translator I have travelled to Cape Horn in Chile, Atacama Dessert, Machu Pichu in Perú, Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Easter Island and other places. So I think I have a wide experience as local guide and as Tour Conductor.
My favourite place is Patagonia in Chile, because you can enjoy wildlife, nature and you can also learn about ancient native groups.
I like to meet people, to talk about Chile to enjoy outdoors activities.
A Recent Review of this guide
Hugo completely exceeded our expectations! He helped us create a custom tour based on the things we wanted to do, where we wanted to go and when we wanted to do it. Very flexible and helpful in selecting wineries, restaurants and sites. He showed us some hidden gems in Valparaíso where he lived for five years. During our drive from place to place he gave us interesting facts about Chile, Santiago, Valparaíso and answered any and all questions that we had. Very intelligible! Cannot recommend Hugo enough!
