a great presentation of the town
San Sebastián is often referred to as the most beautiful city in Spain. It all started when Queen María Cristina came here to inaugurate the new casino in the late 1880s. She fell head over heels in love with the little seaside town and started bringing her court here every year to spend the summer. The town soon came to be an aristocratic melting pot where the European jet set came to socialize during the beginning of the 20th century, the Belle Epoqué.
New hotels, casinos, cathedrals and theatres were built in the French-inspired architectural style of the time giving San Sebastián its romantic and aristocratic atmosphere that it still breeds today.
Come along for a stroll around some of the most beautiful sights in San Sebastián as you learn about the town's history and also get an introduction to the world of the pintxos.
A chance to experience the beautiful buildings and sights of San Sebastián while learning about its history.
We meet outside the Kursaal main entrance and begin our journey throughout the romantic corners of San Sebastián before going into the historic old part and if you please ending up on top of the little Mount Urgull overlooking the whole San Sebastián area. Includes quite a lot of walking although the Urgull Hill has a coach service in July and August for those who prefer.

I would recommend a tour with Jakob to anyone. Timely and professional communication leading up to the tour. Flexibility in designing the experience. We got a great feel for San Sebastian from a local who possesses the sensibilities of an ex-pat. It was a pleasure to spend time with him, and we learned a bunch along the way. He also proved to be a great local resource during our stay in the area outside of just our 4 hour tour of the San Sebastian. I am keeping his contact info for future trips.
